The Northern Hills Community Band Covering Local Bands' Songs?

I want to arrange songs by local bands for the Northern Hills Community Band. This way, even musicians who can't read music or don't play a wind instrument can still play with us. It would also attract different listeners who would not normally go to our concerts. Even if the whole organization doesn't play, we can still have guests from the NHCB play with local bands who need, say, a sax section like the Saxy Seniors. I've talked about this with Chris Cady and Violent Hippie and he thought it was a great idea. Of course it would depend on people's schedules, but I wanted to get people's thoughts.
