- About Me
- I began playing music under the name Greg Brandriet at the young age of two, when my block tubs served as a drum kit. When I first heard "Chipmunk Punk", I knew I wanted to be a rock star. I played piano and sax through grade school and high school, and began playing guitar at age 15. I've been playing in bands and solo gigs since high school, playing mainly bass, but also guitar, keys, percussion, and kazoo. I was/am a member of the following Black Hills bands...Mighty Moose Band, Sweatband, The Moisteners (one night only), the acoustic RootsRockReggae duo of Dan and Spike, and the soon-to-be-revered State Champions.
I currently own and operate the Green Team Landscaping in Rapid City, which keeps me plenty busy. However, I try to play, write, or listen to as much music as possible.
- Favorite Music
- To play on bass...funky jazz, reggae, hip hop, or any type of music where I can lay down a sick ass bass line. I love to play guitar, anything from Dylan to Radiohead to Cash to Incubus. I've re-discovered the piano by playing lots of Beatles, Coldplay, Radiohead, and the occasional Bach/Mozart, or "Mach", piece.
To listen to...Miles, Radiohead, Tool, Beatles, Spoon, lots more. I love rap, disco, reggae, I also can be found listening to techno and classical now and then.
